The star of “Golden Bachelor,” Gerry Turner, is making headlines with a bold warning directed at his ex-wife, Theresa Nist, as he prepares for the release of his upcoming memoir.
In an exclusive interview with Us Weekly, Turner announced that his book, entitled “Golden Years,” is set to be published in early November. The memoir promises to provide insight into his relationship with Nist, raising concerns about her reaction to its revelations.
Turner stated, “I’m not worried; I think she should be worried.” This statement reflects the intensity with which he plans to approach the narrative of their tumultuous relationship.
Turner and Nist finalized their split in April 2024, only three months after their marriage. According to Turner, he intends to explore his role in the breakdown of their union, admitting his shortcomings in the marriage.
He candidly mentioned, “I was a bit naive; I was a bad listener. I didn’t probe well enough, and that’s both for my sake and for Theresa’s. Had I been better at some of those areas, maybe there would have been a different end.” Despite recognizing his flaws, he expressed no desire to alter the past, sharing that the experiences ultimately shaped his present.
“In the big picture, I’m happy that it all happened the way it did, because it got me to where I am,” he reflected, alluding to his current engagement to Lana Sutton.
Turner shared exciting news about his engagement, announcing it on Instagram with a carousel of photos showcasing the moment. He wrote, “We’ve got BIG news. The Golden Bachelor is OFF the market. I found my perfect match and she said ‘YES’. I love this woman.” This new chapter in his life comes 15 months post-divorce from Nist.
Turner and Nist married in January 2024 during a televised ceremony, following Turner’s proposal in the season finale of the popular ABC reality dating series. State papers indicate that Turner filed for divorce in Petersburg, Indiana, citing
