Gia Giudice is determined to reunite with her father, Joe Giudice, who was deported to Italy. The reality star has taken a bold step by seeking help from President Donald Trump as her family faces challenges related to Joe’s immigration status.
In a recent interview, Gia and her mother, Teresa Giudice, discussed the situation while promoting their appearance on the upcoming season of FOX’s reality competition show, “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” Joe Giudice, who has been living in the Bahamas, was deported in October 2019 following a prison sentence.
The recent pardon of Todd and Julie Chrisley by President Trump has sparked hope within Gia’s family. Gia expressed feeling inspired by the Chrisleys’ story of reconciliation and family unity.
“The Chrisley family’s reunion gave us hope during an otherwise difficult time. We felt stuck because my dad is in the Bahamas. It just seemed like a hopeless situation,” Gia shared. She believes that their story serves as a beacon of hope for families facing similar challenges.
Following the Chrisleys’ pardon, Gia felt motivated to advocate for her father’s return home. She stated, “We want our dad home. That’s all there is to it. I think any child would feel the same about their father.”
Joe was deported after serving 41 months in federal prison for fraud charges. Despite having lived in the United States since childhood, he never acquired citizenship, remaining a green card holder. His immigration status has now placed him in a vulnerable position.
Teresa Giudice expressed her desire for Joe to return to America, highlighting that he deserves to be in a country he has called home for so long. “Even though Joe and I are no longer together, I really want him back in America. There’s a strong sense of belonging that he has here, and it’s heartbreaking to see him away due to paperwork issues,” she stated.
The Giudices faced serious legal repercussions in the past, as both Joe and Teresa were convicted of bankruptcy fraud, mail fraud, and tax-related offenses. While Joe served a lengthy prison sentence, Teresa spent 15 months behind bars. Their tumultuous legal journey has placed a significant strain on their family life.
Though Gia has not received a response from President Trump, Teresa expressed pride in her daughter’s initiative. “I admire Gia for taking this step, and I’m glad she’s advocating for her father,” Teresa remarked.
Gia and Teresa’s bond will be tested in the new season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test,” premiering soon. In reflecting on their experience, Gia described it as the most challenging undertaking she has ever faced.
“It truly was incredibly tough. We faced conditions where we had to use the same water for washing hands, showering, and cleaning clothes. However, we relied on each other to make it through those tough moments,” she shared.
One particularly intense memory for Gia involved a grueling hike during the competition. Carrying 30-pound packs, she faced extreme fatigue but persevered to the very end.
“I thought I was going to quit, but I pushed through. It was one of the hardest days I’ve experienced, yet I completed the challenge,
