Four contestants find themselves in a unique position as they attempt to win a substantial prize by discerning real news from fake headlines, following a period of three months without outside contact.
In a thrilling new three-part game show series airing on Fox Nation, renowned Fox News host Greg Gutfeld will put these isolated contestants to the test. They will strive to separate fact from fiction with a grand prize of $50,000 at stake.
In a promotional clip, Gutfeld poses a compelling question: “Real news or fake news? Can they tell fact from fiction?” This sets the stage for the premiere of Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss?
He adds a twist, saying, “Or did they just spend three months locked in a remote farmhouse for nothing? Only one contestant will win big, and there’s no reward for losing.”
The game show will commence on a Monday, showcasing episodes of Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss?, with the first episode airing on May 12. A new episode will be released daily thereafter.
Gutfeld, who is already a prominent figure with his late-night show Gutfeld! and co-host of the highest-rated cable program The Five, is adding this game show to his busy lineup.
In a lighthearted tone, Gutfeld remarks, “This is quite possibly the strangest game show ever created. Can you imagine being completely cut off from the news for three whole months? No headlines, no hot takes, no scandals. I know, unimaginable.”
Since January 20 to April 13, the contestants have been living in isolation at a farmhouse in upstate New York. Upon reentering society, their challenge will be to navigate an array of wild headlines, bizarre stories, and unpredictable guests.
Gutfeld humorously highlights the absurdity of the news cycle, referencing past events to illustrate how much can change in just 90 days. He jokes about the dramatic shifts in politics and public perception during this brief period.
The four competitors will perform in front of a live audience alongside a panel that includes regular guests from Gutfeld!, such as Kat Timpf and Jamie Lissow.
In their roles on the panel, Timpf and Lissow will each advocate for different narratives, with one attempting to convince contestants of the truth while the other will argue the opposite. This adds an element of strategic deception to the game.
Only one contestant will ultimately walk away with the grand prize, emerging victorious from the experience. To discover who claims the title and the associated reward, viewers are invited to join Fox Nation.
Fox Nation offers a variety of engaging programs, accessible on-demand and through mobile devices for subscribers. For those interested, a free trial is available for viewers to explore the extensive library showcasing their favorite Fox Nation personalities.
In this competitive landscape of media consumption and news awareness, Greg Gutfeld’s What Did I Miss? stands as a distinctive addition to television. It will challenge perspectives on the reliability of information and the nature of reality in the modern news era.
