FIRST ON FOX: In a significant policy shift, Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem has announced the termination of a multimillion-dollar program from the Biden administration centered on diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives in educational settings. This initiative, known as Invent2Prevent, aimed to equip students with tools to combat terrorism and violence in their communities.
However, details surrounding the program reveal that it was contracted primarily with left-leaning organizations, resulting in a curriculum heavily influenced by DEI and LGBTQ themes.
Estimates from the Department of Homeland Security suggest that discontinuing this program will save the agency over $1.5 million. This move aligns with the ongoing effort to streamline government spending and eliminate what many consider wasteful programs.
Tricia McLaughlin, the assistant secretary at DHS, emphasized the importance of responsible spending during an interview with Fox News Digital, stating that the previous administration utilized tax dollars to fund politically charged organizations.
