Armed with a .357 Smith and Wesson revolver, he struck one Guardsman, who fell down, and then the shooter leaned over and assaulted the Guardsman again. In a swift response, other nearby Guardsmen rushed towards the threat. One of them managed to return fire, successfully subduing the suspect shortly thereafter.

Notably, his asylum application was approved during the Trump administration.

Patel reported, “During these searches, we seized numerous electronic devices including cell phones, laptops, and iPads. These materials are currently under analysis.”
