Jane Seymour continues to defy age and expectations. The iconic actress, renowned for her role in ‘Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman’, made a stunning appearance at New York Fashion Week, showcasing a vibrant red mini dress paired with striking high heels during the Nardos Fall 2025 show at the prestigious Plaza Hotel.
At 73 years old, Seymour exuded confidence as she took to the runway, her svelte figure captivating the audience. She shared a glimpse of her glamorous preparations backstage, highlighting her readiness for the runway while humorously referencing that her arms were “Crepe Erase ready”, nodding to the anti-aging product she endorses.
In a playful video shared on her Instagram, Seymour expressed her enthusiasm for the event, declaring, “This is going to be fun” and admiring her fellow models as “beautiful, magnificent creatures”.
She noted, “All these amazingly beautiful girls are going to be in the gorgeous dresses very, very soon,” as models nearby blew kisses in acknowledgment. Her admiration for the designer’s work was clear as she remarked, “This is going to be exciting, and I love Nardos’ clothes”.
Despite being among younger models, Seymour’s charm shone through when she humorously acknowledged her age, saying, “I am substantially older and shorter than all the models here, but happy to be here”.
Seymour took center stage in a one-shoulder mini dress adorned with floral designs, complementing it with beige pointed-toe pumps. Though not a professional model, she has never shied away from showcasing her assets with confidence.
Seymour’s modeling journey began decades ago, first captivating audiences with her appearances in Playboy magazine’s pictorials. She became the magazine’s oldest model at 67 years old, making headlines and challenging conventional beauty standards.
Reflecting on her evolving perspective on beauty, she remarked to Playboy, “I feel much sexier now than I ever did when I was younger.” Her journey has taught her the value of self-acceptance, as she noted, “There’s an enormous freedom in having lived as long as I have. I’m comfortable in my own skin”.
In December, Seymour urged women at the Hollywood Reporter’s Women in Entertainment Gala to embrace their current selves rather than longing for youth. “I’ve never given up,” she declared, pointing to her renewed success in the entertainment industry. “So I say to women, ‘Don’t give up and be authentic.’ Don’t pretend to be 20 when you’re 70. Be 70”.
Seymour reflected on her lengthy career, stating, “It’s a great honor…I’ve been working in entertainment since I was 13, that’s 60 years. To see women having their moment now and sharing stories that often go unheard is very empowering.” This statement underlines her commitment to authenticity and the importance of representation in media.
Seymour will celebrate her 74th birthday this Saturday, entering another year with grace and vitality. As she continues to inspire others with her spirited outlook on life and body positivity, her presence in both fashion and entertainment remains impactful.
Throughout her career, Jane Seymour has not only embodied ageless beauty but has also become a powerful advocate for women embracing their true selves at any stage in life. Her philosophy resonates widely and serves as a reminder that age should never be a barrier to confidence and self-expression.
