In a recent conversation on a podcast, Dart’s father, Brandon Dart, shared that he personally texted Kiffin regarding the coaching speculation. He described the interaction within their family texting group, noting, “I think [New York radio host] Boomer Esiason had said something in the media today that maybe they should throw out a potential coaching (offer) to Kiffin, and he just sent it over with a smirk and just said, ‘It’s too cold in New York for me.’ It’s just kind of funny,” Brandon Dart recounted on the “Bleav in Ole Miss” podcast.
Brandon Dart also emphasized the strong bond between his son and Kiffin, stating, “We have our weekly interactions with him and his family, and Jaxson holds high regard. I think Kiffin is one of his most trusted allies, and he uses him for advice in a lot of different ways, so there’s constant communication between them, even today. We’re very grateful for coach Kiff.” This close relationship between the Dart family and Kiffin has provided Jaxson with invaluable support as he transitions into the NFL.
Jaxson Dart has already created a buzz in the league after being selected by the Giants as the 25th overall pick. Since taking over as the starter in Week 4, he has demonstrated flashes of brilliance despite the overall challenges faced by the team.
In his debut game, Dart led the Giants to a victory, but he soon faced the realities of being a rookie.
