A New York man was left in disbelief after witnessing another man drawing a swastika on his Cybertruck. This incident occurred right in front of a New York Post reporter and photographer, who captured the situation leading to the suspect’s arrest.
The individual responsible, identified as Michael Lewis, aged 42, is currently facing charges for aggravated harassment. His attorney, Mark Luccarelli, confirmed that Lewis has since been released.
The Cybertruck’s owner, Avi Ben Hamo, noticed Lewis parked his Subaru, which had two car seats in the back, and رسمed the symbol on the driver’s side door. This open act of vandalism sparked intensity and confusion.

Ben Hamo expressed deep emotional turmoil over the incident, stating, “I feel myself burning inside,” when speaking with the Post.

In an attempt to escape, Lewis fled the scene on foot, abandoning his car in a bike lane, as reported by the Post.
Later, when he returned to retrieve his vehicle left on Washington Avenue in Prospect Heights, he encountered a group of four police officers, accompanied by a reporter and photographer from the Post. Lewis was promptly handcuffed and arrested on suspicion of committing a hate crime.
Luccarelli clarified that Lewis merely traced the hate symbol in dust on the Cybertruck and did not cause any permanent damage. He stated, “Our client, who is also Jewish, deeply regrets touching the other man’s car and using a hate symbol in the message.” Lewis, according to his lawyer, was experiencing personal challenges at the time, and his actions were uncharacteristic.
Furthermore, Luccarelli indicated that Lewis was released without charges due to the absence of actual damage to the vehicle, emphasizing that no crime was committed.
