According to a cremation approval summary report obtained by Fox News Digital, the Pinellas County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed that McMahon died from lung metastasis due to head and neck metastatic cancer. The medical report classified the manner of death as natural, and his remains have since been cremated.
Kelly McMahon, Julian’s wife, communicated the heartbreaking news to Fox News Digital on July 5. She noted that he had bravely fought cancer before his death. In her heartfelt statement, Kelly expressed her deep love for her husband.
She explained, “With an open heart, I wish to share with the world that my beloved husband, Julian McMahon, died peacefully this week after a valiant effort to overcome cancer.”
Additionally, she highlighted Julian’s zest for life and love for his family, friends, and fans. “Julian loved life. He loved his family. He loved his friends. He loved his work, and he loved his fans. His deepest wish was to bring joy into as many lives as possible. We ask for support during this time to allow our family to grieve in privacy. And we wish for all of those to whom Julian brought joy to continue to find joy in life,” she said.
In closing her statement, Kelly conveyed the family’s gratitude for the memories shared with Julian, emphasizing their desire for privacy during this sorrowful period.
Born on July 27, 1968, in Sydney, Australia, McMahon grew up in an influential family. His father, Billy McMahon, served as Australia’s Prime Minister from 1971 to 1972. Julian initially pursued modeling before transitioning to acting, setting the stage for a remarkable career in the entertainment industry.
His on-screen journey began with a role in the 1989 Australian daytime soap opera “The Power, the Passion.” He followed this with a stint in the popular soap opera “Home and Away,” where he gained initial recognition.
