Lara Trump, daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump and a mother of two, is set to launch her new program, My View with Lara Trump, on Fox News Channel this Saturday evening, as announced on Wednesday. With a focus on health and wellness, this initiative reflects her long-standing commitment to improving well-being in America.
At 42, Lara Trump, who is married to Eric Trump and previously served as a co-chair of the Republican National Committee, voices her concerns as a parent regarding the health and well-being of young children in America. In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, she expressed, “I feel like many parents today are asking the same questions about the health of their kids.”
She poignantly stated the struggle parents face while grocery shopping or preparing meals for their children. “You often wonder what you are actually feeding them. It’s alarming that the United States does not uphold the same food safety standards as other countries,” she explained.
“This realization raises important questions: What are we feeding our children? Are we making the best choices for their future?”
Lara Trump pointed out that the increasing support for Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as Secretary of Health and Human Services stems from a widespread desire for transparency in health matters. “People are demanding honesty and the truth about the nutritional standards that affect our children’s health,” she remarked. “We want to ensure that the foods we give our kids will support their health, not hamper it.”
She noted the troubling trend wherein the richest nation in the world is witnessing declining health outcomes. “It’s unsettling to see our population growing sicker and people dying at younger ages. Many parents are troubled by this reality,” she lamented.
Lara Trump emphasized the hope every parent has for the next generation: to lead longer, healthier lives. “It pains many of us that it sometimes feels like we cannot promise that to our children,” she added.
With a focus on healthy choices, Trump emphasized her commitment to instilling good habits in her children. “As parents, we all strive to guide our kids toward making informed choices, even when temptations, like ice cream before dinner, arise,” she quipped.
She also expressed the importance of an active lifestyle in combating sedentary habits that could lead to long-term health issues. “I want my children to appreciate being active. They are involved in several sports, and I cherish the outdoor lifestyle we enjoy living in Florida,” she stated.
Lara Trump firmly believes that leading by example is crucial. “I include exercise in my daily routine. I hope to inspire my kids to embrace healthy habits that will last a lifetime,” she mentioned. “They are currently enjoying various sports such as jujitsu, basketball, and gymnastics, which fills me with happiness.”
Reflecting on her own upbringing in North Carolina, she shared, “My parents set a strong example for an active lifestyle, which has made a significant impact on me.” She recalled playful family activities before dinner that instilled a love of movement and fitness.
“Those formative experiences helped me maintain an active lifestyle throughout my life,” she revealed, highlighting the influence of her childhood.
Discussing the ongoing conversation about food quality, she mentioned the concerning additives prevalent in many American food products. “Ingredients like high-fructose corn syrup and unhealthy seed oils have become commonplace; this needs to change,” she said.
Lara Trump expressed optimism for greater transparency from the current administration regarding health policies. “I believe we can expect a level of accountability on food safety and nutrition,” she concluded.
Lara reminded us of the importance of preserving childhood innocence amid modern distractions. “Growing up, I felt fortunate to have a safe and healthy childhood, free from adult worries until I was older. I want the same for my children,” she said. “They deserve to experience the wonders of childhood without the burdens of grown-up life.”
“You only get to be a kid once, and I aim to protect that experience for them,” she affirmed, emphasizing the significance of quality childhood memories.
