Odom attended the Young Black Leadership Summit in 2018, an event hosted by Turning Point USA where young Black Americans were invited to share their experiences and perspectives.

“Charlie was instrumental in promoting the idea that everyone should use their voice effectively, and that resonated deeply with me,” Odom explained.

Looking ahead, Odom sees a promising evolution in the conservative movement. “I envision a louder, more unified movement continuing to expand its reach, surpassing previous boundaries,” he remarked.

Kate echoed Odom’s sentiments. She emphasized the necessity of ramping up in-person events to cultivate more conversations that honor Kirk’s legacy.

“This is the time to triple or quadruple our events, encouraging debates and discussions, all while carrying the torch that he ignited,” she noted.

Furthermore, Smith called for a transformation in the movement. “We can’t expect to find another Charlie Kirk, but we need to create numerous mini-Charlie Kirks across the country,” he urged.

Kate added a personal reflection on Kirk’s character. “He embodied the kind of American that young men should aspire to be and represents the type of person every woman should seek in a partner,” she articulated.

The Future of Turning Point USA

Turning Point USA has announced a significant transition with Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk, stepping into the role of CEO and chair of the board. The organization conveyed this decision across social media platforms, highlighting that Charlie had discussed this succession plan with executives before his untimely death.
