As Robert F. Kennedy Jr. made his appearance on Capitol Hill for the confirmation hearing for HHS Secretary, supporters from the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement gathered in solidarity. This event highlighted the importance of nutrition and public health advocacy.
Among the prominent figures present was Marla Maples, the ex-wife of former President Donald Trump and mother of Tiffany Trump. Maples, who co-founded the Global Wellness Forum, expressed her commitment to promoting healthier lifestyles for Americans.
According to the Global Wellness Forum’s mission, the organization “unites and empowers groups and activists worldwide, amplifying their efforts to promote health, sovereignty, truth, and transparency.” This focus on health aligns with current public interest in nutrition and well-being.
In an on-camera interview with Fox News Digital, Maples shared her enthusiasm for the MAHA movement and her aspirations for a healthier America under Kennedy’s leadership. “I have to support America’s health, our children’s health,” Maples asserted.
She pointed out the distressing state of the food supply, emphasizing the lack of consent regarding its contents. “We’ve suffered for so long with what they’re putting in our food supply without having consent on what we’re getting medically,” she remarked.
The wellness advocate expressed a deep concern for the future, stating, “It’s the most important thing I think we have for ourselves and our children… I want to make sure we leave a cleaner world for our children’s children too.” With her daughter Tiffany expecting a child, Maples is particularly motivated to inspire positive change.
Maples strongly advises consumers to educate themselves about what they eat. “Read every label of the foods you are consuming,” she urged. She cautioned against harmful ingredients, sharing her long-standing message: “Stay away from corn syrups, any artificial colors. No refined sugars.”
She believes in trusting one’s instincts regarding health. “Truly, you have an inner sense of what’s good for us, and really trusting that, taking time and just caring enough about yourself,” she suggested.
In addition to responsible consumption, Maples encourages people to grow their own food when possible. “If you have the chance to grow your own garden, that’s the best. I used to do it growing up,” she reminisced, sharing her current experience of growing herbs in her condo.
Maples, a firm believer in holistic wellness, also advocates for mindfulness. “Be really sure before you put anything in your body and pray over it all,” she advised, highlighting the importance of mental health alongside physical health.
To maintain her physical and mental fitness, Maples practices handstands and stretching regularly. “If I have a chance to play a sport during the week, I’ll get out and do that because it keeps my mind very clear and helps my mind be very focused,” she explained.
Representatives from the Global Wellness Forum were also present to support Kennedy during his confirmation hearing. “We’re going to be helping support Bobby’s initiatives in the government… making sure there’s a way we can bring teams together to support what he’s going to be doing in the government, so we can support the community,” Maples concluded.
The ongoing dialogue surrounding health awareness continues to gain traction, and figures like Marla Maples play a pivotal role in advocating for positive changes in America’s dietary habits.
