Virginia health officials have confirmed a case of measles at Washington Dulles International Airport. This announcement came last week, prompting authorities to trace those who may have been exposed to this highly contagious virus.

The Virginia Department of Health disclosed on Sunday that they were alerted to the confirmed case, linked to an individual returning from an international trip on March 5.

Potential exposure occurred in Terminal A, including the transit to the main terminal and the baggage claim area. This exposure took place between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. on that date.

Health officials have launched an effort to identify all individuals who might have been at risk, focusing on passengers and airport visitors during that time.
