Nevada Launches Investigation into Over 300 Alleged Voter Fraud Cases from 2024 Election

The state of Nevada has initiated investigations into more than 300 alleged cases of voter fraud originating from the 2024 general election, as confirmed by state officials.

According to the Nevada Secretary of State’s Office, every allegation concerning election integrity receives serious consideration. In a recent election integrity report, the office stated that it thoroughly investigates each claim within the confines of the law.

“The Secretary of State collaborates closely with the Attorney General’s Office during the investigative process,” a representative from the office explained. “Following a comprehensive determination regarding the validity of any allegations, a detailed report is generated, and cases are referred to appropriate outside agencies, including the Attorney General’s Office and county District Attorney offices.”

Details of Allegations

The report highlights a total of 303 instances of double voting. This refers to cases where individuals attempted to cast votes more than once during the 2024 election. Importantly, the report notes that every individual attempting to vote twice was intercepted before submitting a second vote. In Nevada, both attempting to vote twice and successfully casting a second vote constitutes a felony.

Out of these cases, five have concluded without any civil or criminal repercussions, while four are currently being examined by an external agency. However, the report does not clarify which specific agency is handling the further investigation concerning these potential fraud cases.

Impact of Voter Fraud Allegations

It is important to note that the 2024 election was closely contested, with President Donald Trump narrowly defeating former Vice President Kamala Harris in Nevada. Trump secured victory in the swing state by a margin of just over 46,000 votes, earning its six Electoral College votes in the process.

During elections, ballot integrity initiatives received overwhelming approval from voters. Jason Snead, Executive Director of the Honest Elections Project, remarked at the time, “Now that state legislative sessions are commencing, it is crucial for lawmakers to answer the call from the American public to make voting accessible while simultaneously ensuring that it remains difficult to commit fraud.”
