A pastor from Connecticut is raising concerns about a Godless generation following a harrowing experience with a teenage carjacker during a trip to Baltimore to conduct a funeral service.
Pastor Kenneth Moales, Jr. found himself in a life-or-death situation when he bravely confronted a 16-year-old suspect, wrestling the gun away before tackling him to the ground.

“I’m thinking about one thing – life,” Moales said in a conversation with Fox News’ Todd Piro. “I need to find a way to make sure I don’t die in the streets of Baltimore. My wife and my children are at home waiting for me. I have to ensure I get back to them.”
Moales admitted he initially hesitated as the attacker approached his vehicle, brandishing a firearm and tapping on the window. However, once the suspect opened the door, his survival instincts kicked in, and he entered “fight mode.”
“I started to size him up, taking stock of the situation, and I realized I had a chance to take him down. I needed to decide quickly; what was my plan? Was I going to try to get the gun?” he recalled.
At that decisive moment, the gun was aimed directly at Moales’ chest, forcing him into a fight for his life. Reflecting on the confrontation, he described it as not much of a fight at all.
“Let me be clear, I am in no way a hero. I consider myself a miracle. I am grateful that the Lord shielded me and kept meSafe,” he expressed.
Moales revealed that he attempted to reach the young suspect emotionally by identifying himself as a pastor, hoping it would pacify the escalating situation. However, the youth’s apparent lack of respect was most disheartening for him.
“I said, ‘Hey, relax. I’m a pastor. I’m not going to hurt you. This needs to stop. I won’t press charges,'” he recalled. “Before I knew it, he was pushing me down. That truly hurt my spirit. It’s not just that he robbed me and took my car; it’s the notion that we are in a Godless generation. How could he not at least consider backing off when he realized I was a pastor? He showed no regard for that fact.”
