Ellen Fried, the founder of the Facebook group ‘Ellen Loves Pastrami,’ aims to discover restaurants that still craft their own pastrami. Her journey began in 2009 after she met David Sax, the author of ‘Save the Deli: In Search of Perfect Pastrami, Crusty Rye and the Heart of Jewish Delicatessen,’ during a book signing. Originally from near Atlantic City, New Jersey, Fried now enjoys life in Delray Beach, Florida. Her ‘meat ups’ have taken her from South Florida to Southern California, and she remains dedicated to connecting people through their shared love for pastrami.

Lanigan and his wife recently participated in an event at Ben’s Kosher Delicatessen in Boca Raton.
