Republican Attorneys General Stand Behind Trump in Tren de Aragua Deportation Case

FIRST ON FOX: A coalition of Republican attorneys general is preparing to file an amicus brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia, advocating for the reversal of a judge’s order that prevents former President Trump from deporting members of the alleged Tren de Aragua gang. This group asserts that the judiciary appears to favor foreign terrorist organizations over the safety of American citizens.

The attorneys general from South Carolina and Virginia, Alan Wilson and Jason Miyares, lead the effort. They express concern that the ruling issued by U.S. District Judge James Boasberg risks contributing to increased criminal activity perpetrated by violent illegal immigrants in their states.

“When a judge intervenes with a temporary restraining order on a nationwide injunction, it effectively restrains the president from executing a crucial function that states cannot perform independently. This undermines our ability to protect our citizens effectively,” Wilson told Fox News Digital.
