Rick Harrison, the well-known star of Pawn Stars, is embarking on a new romantic journey, despite a history of three marriages. The reality television personality announced his engagement to Angie Polushkin in March after dating for over a year. This has led to discussions about whether he will secure a prenuptial agreement this time around.
At 60 years old, Harrison opened up about his view on marriage during an exclusive conversation with Fox News Digital. He expressed uncertainty about a prenup, stating that he has always seen marriage as a lifelong commitment. However, he acknowledged that not every relationship manifests that ideal.
While reflecting on his past marriages, Harrison emphasized the importance of happiness in life. He said, “I really find it, like, there’s not enough happy people in the world. I’m happy. I mean … I am really well off, you know what I mean? And I’m going to enjoy my life.”
Despite uncertainties surrounding legal arrangements, Harrison remains optimistic. “We’ll get it figured out. But in the long run, I’m the happiest man in the world,” he declared, emphasizing his satisfaction with his life and current relationship.
Harrison and Polushkin began dating in early 2024. Their chemistry was immediate, and he was so captivated by her that he canceled another date just to spend more time with her. “I went out on a date with her, and I actually had a date with another girl the next night,” Harrison admitted. However, he quickly found an excuse to leave that meeting and called Polushkin to set up another date.
The couple reportedly gets along wonderfully, and Harrison commented on their harmonious relationship, saying, “We’ve never been in a fight.” This sense of compatibility has played a significant role in their engagement.
The proposal itself was a romantic affair that Harrison carefully orchestrated. He described the moment as one where love blossomed effortlessly. “I figured, it’s been over a year,” he pointed out. Following a work trip to Chile, he planned a dinner in the Casablanca Valley, ensuring it would just be the two of them.
To make the occasion even more special, he reserved a private restaurant that served a luxurious nine-course meal along with a wine pairing. “There was a wine pairing, so we were a little tipsy, and I proposed,” he said of the memorable occasion. In a heartwarming response, Polushkin immediately said yes, and they have begun making plans for their wedding next year.
As with any couple preparing for a wedding, there are discussions and negotiations. Harrison mentioned, “She’s doing wedding planning. I come up with an idea, and she’s like, no.” This playful banter indicates a comfortable dynamic between the couple, highlighting their ability to collaborate even in the face of differing ideas.
Harrison’s engagement comes just five years after his divorce from his third wife, Deanna Burditt, in the summer of 2020. Their marriage, which began in 2013, ended due to irreconcilable differences, as Harrison cited their diverging views and lifestyles.
Before Deanna, Harrison experienced two other marriages. He was married to Kim Harrison from 1982 to 1985 and shares two sons, Adam and Corey, with her. Following that, he married Tracy Harrison from 1986 until 2011, with whom he has a son named Jake.
In light of his family experiences, particularly following the tragic loss of his son Adam to a fentanyl overdose, Harrison has been vocal about advocating for tougher border control policies. He believes this is crucial in addressing the ongoing opioid crisis.
Reflecting on his son’s unexpected passing, Harrison expressed his sorrow, noting that Adam would have been thrilled about his father’s engagement. “He would have been happy about it,” Harrison reminisced. “He was one of the most fun-loving guys you ever met in your life. Always happy, never mad.”
Just as Harrison opens up about his current love life, he candidly acknowledges the past. Adam, who was not featured on Pawn Stars, had reportedly worked in the family business.
Since its premiere in 2009, Pawn Stars has remained a popular fixture on television, continuing to attract viewers with its unique blend of reality entertainment and family dynamics. As the show approaches the release of its 23rd season, fans and followers eagerly await what lies ahead.
Harrison’s life and evolving relationships thus capture our attention, offering a glimpse into the world of a reality star navigating both love and loss. While uncertainties linger, especially regarding legal arrangements with his fiancée, one thing is clear: Rick Harrison values love and happiness. His journey serves as a testament to moving forward and finding joy in new beginnings.
