The New York Jets currently stand as the sole team in the National Football League without a victory this season. Despite high hopes and new coaching leadership, the Jets have failed to convert practice efforts into game-day success.

At the time of his brother’s firing, David Saleh pointed out the contradiction in Johnson’s earlier praise of the roster’s potential, where Johnson had called it “one of the most talented teams that has ever been assembled by the New York Jets.” He had expressed a desire for the team to find renewed success.
In his comments after dismissal, Johnson also stated, “I wanted to give this team the most opportunity to win this season. I feel that we had to go in a different direction and that’s why I did that today. The change that we made today, that I made, I believe will bring new energy and positivity that will lead to more wins starting now.”
Despite these intentions, the Jets concluded last season with a dismal record, having lost eight of their final 11 games. The current season highlights similar trends, as the Jets are allowing an alarming 31.4 points per game, which ranks as the second-worst statistic in the NFL, just behind the Baltimore Ravens’ 35.4.
