Two-time Masters winner Scottie Scheffler takes center stage this year as he unveils his menu for the prestigious Champions Dinner. This revelation occurred on Wednesday, generating excitement among golf fans.

The menu reflects Scheffler’s strong Texas roots, which continue to play a significant role in his culinary choices. The 2025 Champions Dinner is traditionally held on the Tuesday before the opening round of the Masters tournament, serving as a special occasion to honor past winners.

While Scheffler’s favorites remain prominent, this year’s offerings also introduce some enticing new dishes.

The dinner, officially known as the Masters Club dinner, is a cherished tradition that dates back to its inception by Ben Hogan after his 1951 victory. The first gathering celebrated Hogan’s triumph on the eve of the 1952 tournament.

Over the years, this tradition has prevailed, attended exclusively by former Green Jacket winners and the chairman of Augusta National Golf Club.

Scheffler, now 28, first claimed the Masters title in 2022, marking his initial major championship victory. Subsequently, he hosted a dinner the following year featuring fan-favorite items like cheeseburger sliders, firecracker shrimp, and, of course, steak.

For his second hosting, he returns with sliders and shrimp, served in what he affectionately calls “Scottie-Style.” A new addition to this year’s menu includes “Papa Scheff’s Meatball and Ravioli Bites.” This dish references a holiday dinner he helped prepare, during which an accident required surgery, consequently delaying his season’s start.

The main courses will once again include steak and fish, but this year, instead of tortilla soup, guests will enjoy a hearty Texas-style chili.

Scheffler has also reinstated another beloved dessert item: the chocolate chip cookie skillet. However, he chose to pair it with vanilla bean ice cream this year, departing from the previous year’s milk and cookies ice cream.

In a recent news conference announcing the menu, Scheffler expressed his sentiment. He stated, “It’s my favorite foods; I haven’t quite changed too much, but there’s a little bit, I would say, of more kind of nostalgic stuff.”

He added, “It should be a fun night, a fun meal, and I’m very excited to host a Champion’s Dinner again. I look forward to seeing how it’s prepared and what the chefs at Augusta pull off this year. I’m really looking forward to it.”

This year’s Masters tournament is set to commence on April 7, capturing the attention of golf enthusiasts. A key focal point will undoubtedly be Rory McIlroy, who recently secured victory at The Players Championship for the second time.
