British royals expert Hilary Fordwich corroborated Turner’s claims, sharing a conversation with the biography’s author, Sally Bedell Smith. Fordwich recounted, “During the king’s coronation coverage in 2023, I was on set with Sally Bedell Smith, and I inquired about the tears he shed before marrying Diana, which she confirmed.”
