Dashcam footage recently revealed an alarming police pursuit involving a stolen SUV driven by a 17-year-old, who sped through a Georgia residential area before flipping the vehicle in a rollover crash. The chase, which reached speeds over 115 mph, posed a significant danger to both the driver and the public.

Authorities from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office released the video footage, showcasing the reckless driving of the teen. The pursuit was initiated when deputies were informed about a stolen vehicle reported in Newnan, Georgia, located approximately 40 miles southwest of Atlanta. Deputies received the alert shortly before 2:45 p.m. on a Wednesday.

Lt. Josh Akin, who was on duty that day, immediately began searching for a red SUV matching the description. Some minutes later, Akin, along with Deputy Sheriff Nelson, spotted the vehicle speeding past them on Antioch Road.

This includes $650 for each of the six traffic charges, as well as $1,300 each for giving a false name and obstructing an officer. Currently, he remains in custody at the Fayette County Jail without bond.
