A Florida man is recovering after a harrowing encounter with a shark while snorkeling with friends last weekend. The incident took place in the serene waters off Boca Chita Key within Biscayne Bay, located in the Florida Keys.

The snorkeler expressed his fear and pain during the encounter, noting how the shark lunged for his hands. “I was scared. I was in a lot of pain. We were swimming there by the beach. I was diving in the water and snorkeling.”
