The lawsuit, submitted in Collin County, follows a referral from the Texas State Securities Board, which played a pivotal role in uncovering the questionable activities surrounding this project. Attorneys for the state claim that the defendants raised tens of millions of dollars while flouting securities regulations, misleading potential investors regarding the project’s specifications and financial dealings.

According to the verified petition, Community Capital Partners listed investment opportunities at prices ranging from $40,000 to $80,000. However, these investment interests were reportedly not properly registered or eligible for federal exemptions, raising serious compliance issues.

During the investigation, officials discovered that the group aggressively solicited investors through various channels, including public meetings, social media, and online marketing. Unfortunately, this approach exceeded the parameters outlined in the claimed exemptions.
