Israel’s military operations against Iran represent a bold and necessary strategy aimed at safeguarding both national and international security. The Israeli Defense Forces have initiated precision strikes that significantly weaken Iran’s nuclear capabilities and disrupt its military leadership.
These strikes are not merely justified; they are essential for the survival of Israel and, by extension, the free world.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has signaled Israel’s readiness for extended military operations that may last for several days or weeks. Intelligence reports suggest that the Islamic Republic is on the verge of acquiring nuclear weapons, which compels immediate action. Israel realizes that its survival is jeopardized, prompting swift military responses.
The struggle against Iranian aggression is fundamentally a shared battle for the United States and its allies. President Donald Trump has made it clear that the U.S. will no longer tolerate Iranian provocations. It is crucial for the United States, its Gulf allies, and all nations that aspire to a peaceful future to align against the Iranian regime while supporting Israel’s goals.
Since the 1979 Revolution, Iran has remained committed to the destruction of Israel, openly expressing genocidal intentions toward the only Jewish state. The Iranian regime has established a network of terrorist proxies surrounding Israel and has engaged in numerous attacks against Israeli citizens and Jews globally. Notably, Iran’s financial support for groups like Hamas has led to violence that culminated in the horrific events of October 7, 2023.
Let’s not forget that Iranian hostility extends beyond Israel. Hundreds of American lives have been lost due to Iranian-backed terrorism, which aims to undermine U.S. interests abroad. If Iran manages to develop nuclear weapons, it will not only pose a threat to Israel but also hold the world hostage, igniting a regional arms race.
With these realities in mind, one must question how anyone could doubt the convergence of American and Israeli interests.
Recently, Israel has delivered substantial strikes that have weakened Iran more than it has been in decades. Before recent military actions, Israel had already taken out key Iranian commanders, crippled Hamas and Hezbollah, and dismantled Iran’s air defenses. The IDF’s momentum must be sustained to ensure that Iran’s nuclear ambitions are significantly delayed.
Critics labeling Israel as the aggressor in this situation must remember that Iran initiated this conflict. Historical patterns suggest that Iran becomes most dangerous when the West projects vulnerability, not strength. During my tenure in the first Trump administration, those predicting disaster as a result of U.S. policy changes—like moving the embassy to Jerusalem or recognizing the Golan Heights—were mistaken. Rather than disaster, decisive leadership restored deterrence.
Throughout the ongoing conflict with Hamas and Tehran, Israel has consistently surpassed expectations regarding its military capabilities. To continue applying pressure on Iran and minimize its nuclear threat, Israel requires unwavering support from the United States and the Gulf Arab states.
This support may take various forms, often private rather than public. The Gulf States, in particular, share Israel’s objective of neutralizing Iranian threats, even if this support is less visible.
The Islamic Republic exhibits clear domestic weaknesses that Israel could exploit. Cooperation from within Iran has been pivotal to recent Israeli successes on the battlefield. Ongoing dissatisfaction with the regime and periodic unrest have underscored significant internal challenges for the Iranian leadership.
Iranians aspire to a future characterized by peace and prosperity, free from the shadow of war and isolation. The regime’s severe repression of dissent highlights its awareness of unpopularity. The current climate presents an opportunity for Iranian citizens to demand leadership that aligns with their hopes for a better future.
The world owes a debt of gratitude to Israel for its decisive actions. Should Israel succeed in its mission, future generations will benefit from enhanced global security. The choice before America is clear: either support our democratic ally in defending itself or allow Iran to grow stronger and more threatening. As for me, I stand firmly with Israel.
