According to Dr. Brendan Camp, a dermatologist based in New York, the evidence supporting the sleep-enhancing effects of magnesium from topical application is not robust. He expressed concerns about the absorption of magnesium through the skin, stating that more research is necessary to confirm whether these products can significantly increase magnesium levels in the body.
