A tragic incident unfolded in the Hudson River on Saturday when an explosion on a sewage transport boat resulted in the death of a New York City Department of Environmental Protection worker and left two others injured.
The New York City Fire Department received an emergency call just after 10:30 a.m. regarding the explosion on the city-owned vessel known as Hunts Point.
