A Life Remembered

The tribute included a poignant slideshow featuring images of Ginna from different phases of her life—childhood memories, early days with Dixie, and joyful moments with their dogs. According to an obituary published by a local news outlet, Ginna passed away unexpectedly at Maine Medical Center in Portland, surrounded by her loving family. Details regarding the cause of death were not disclosed.

Her Journey

Ginna’s roots trace back to Sidney, Maine, where she pursued her passion for nursing at St. Anselm College in Goffstown, New Hampshire. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2000, she met her future husband, Dixie, with whom she joyfully married on September 22, 2001. Together, they raised three children: Michael, Lindsey, and Kiley.

Ginna began her nursing career at Pine Tree Camp in Rome, Maine, and later worked in various capacities, including as a registered nurse at a local hospital and cancer care center. Her commitment to her profession led her to further her education, ultimately obtaining her master’s degree in nursing from Purdue University in Indiana in 2018. Following this achievement, she returned to Maine, becoming a nurse practitioner at the Harold Alfond Center and at MaineHealth Franklin Memorial Hospital.

Passions and Pastimes

Ginna cherished spending quality time at their home in Rangeley, enjoying nature with her husband and their three dogs: Quimby, Dodge, and Asher. Her obituary beautifully encapsulated her personality. It mentioned her love for the beach in summer, snowmobiling in winter, and the simple pleasures of sitting quietly with a good book and a cup of coffee.

A Community in Mourning

Ryan Eldridge, a close friend and co-star on ‘Maine Cabin Masters’, paid tribute to Ginna on Instagram. He shared nostalgic photos, reflecting on their lifelong friendship. “We were born on the same day two years apart, our parents were best friends, you married my best friend,” he wrote, expressing the bond they shared.

Eldridge reminisced about Ginna’s remarkable spirit, stating, “You have been a big part of my life since day one and left this world way too soon, but you sure did make a mark in your short time. I love you, Gin!” His words resonated deeply with fans who admired Ginna’s vibrant personality.

A Legacy of Love and Craftsmanship

‘Maine Cabin Masters’ premiered on the Magnolia Network, originally known as the DIY Network before its acquisition by Chip and Joanna Gaines. The beloved reality show follows a talented team of builders and designers, including Dixie, Eldridge, and their crew, as they restore and renovate cabins across Maine.

The tenth season of the show kicked off on December 30, 2024, continuing to showcase the craftsmanship and camaraderie that the team is known for.
