According to Lindsey, every time Kistenmacher visited, Trey made a point to involve her with his family. She described his enthusiasm: “He truly liked her and enjoyed spending time with her,” she shared.

The night of the tragic incident involved an escalating argument. Kistenmacher, along with a group of friends, is accused of driving over an hour from Myrtle Beach to Johnsonville, where Trey was located. Raper then allegedly shot him fatally.

In a startling twist, Kistenmacher later visited Trey at the hospital. Lindsey recalled, “I hugged her neck and was comforting her because I didn’t know.” However, a confrontation ensued when one of Trey’s friends recognized Kistenmacher and expressed anger over the circumstances. Authorities later arrested her, initially on charges of accessory before the fact; these charges are likely to increase as investigations continue.

However, Lindsey expressed her concerns over the lack of accountability for these underage suspects, questioning how they were allowed out at such late hours. “Obviously, the parents aren’t doing a good job at keeping them at home,” she criticized. Alarming violations of release conditions have also surfaced. Lindsey reported that her son’s friends caught one juvenile using social media, despite being prohibited from doing so. Disturbingly, two other suspects shared social media posts in defiance of their release orders, showcasing a blatant disregard for restrictions.
