On Friday, the White House made public a memo outlining Trump’s decision. It stated, “I have determined that it is no longer in the national interest for the following individuals to access classified information: Antony Blinken, Jacob Sullivan, Lisa Monaco, Mark Zaid, Norman Eisen, Letitia James, Alvin Bragg, Andrew Weissmann, Hillary Clinton, Liz Cheney, Kamala Harris, Adam Kinzinger, Fiona Hill, Alexander Vindman, Joseph R. Biden Jr., and any other member of Joseph R. Biden Jr.’s family.” This sweeping revocation highlights Trump’s ongoing clashes with former political allies and opponents alike.

Gabbard’s Prior Action

Earlier this month, Tulsi Gabbard, the former Director of National Intelligence, took a similar action by revoking security clearances for several individuals included in Trump’s list. She particularly noted the clearances of those who signed the controversial Hunter Biden disinformation letter, thus underlining the contentious political climate surrounding these issues.

The memorandum also emphasized that these former officials will no longer receive the President’s Daily Brief, a vital source of intelligence information and updates.
