They’re adopting anti-environmental positions and anti-labor positions just to target Musk.” He added that this shift is particularly troubling given the uptick in political violence from the left.

Turley called for stronger denunciations from Democratic leadership regarding this campaign, suggesting that the silence from prominent leaders raises serious concerns about the party’s direction.

Support for Musk from White House

In light of these escalating tensions, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has defended Musk. She noted that the Democratic Party once championed electric vehicles and Tesla until Musk expressed support for former President Donald Trump.

Leavitt remarked, “The Democrats used to be the greatest cheerleaders for electric vehicles and for Tesla. Now, it seems their priorities have shifted dramatically.” This shift in the political landscape has resulted in significant backlash against Musk, particularly surrounding actions taken by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), a federal agency led by Musk.
