During the opening session of the Conservative Political Action Committee held on Thursday morning, Vice President JD Vance shared his views on the achievements of the Trump administration. He emphasized the administration’s goal to restore safety and prosperity for the American populace, highlighting this objective as President Trump’s fundamental aim.
This address followed a recent speech Vance delivered to European political leaders in Munich, Germany. He captivated the audience at National Harbor, Maryland, engaging in a conversational dialogue with a CPAC organizer.
Vance articulated that the Trump administration recognizes a historical responsibility on several key issues. These issues include tackling illegal immigration, reigniting American energy dominance, and curbing the excessive waste of taxpayer funds through the establishment of the Department of Government Efficiency, often referred to as DOGE. He humorously pointed out that in just his first month in office, President Donald Trump signed more executive orders than CNN has viewers, illustrating the administration’s proactive stance.
Turning to the pressing topic of the migrant crisis, Vance stated, “We have to secure the southern border, and thanks to Trump’s actions, border crossings are down well over 90 percent. We are just getting started.” His remarks came on the heels of the administration’s designation of various migrant criminal organizations, including Tren de Aragua and MS-13, as foreign terrorist entities.
Vance conveyed a strong message aimed at migrant criminals, asserting, “Get the hell out of our country because your free ride is over… you’re not welcome.” This bold statement resonated with attendees as he reflected the administration’s commitment to national security.
In his address, Vance also underscored the importance of revitalizing American energy and the economy, stating that Trump is aware of the need to unlock America’s economic potential. He expressed, “We’ve got to get back to having a growing economy that creates good jobs and high wages for the American people. A lot of that goes back to ‘drill, baby, drill.’” This sentiment prompted applause from an enthusiastic crowd.
Vance took this opportunity to criticize the excessive government spending observed during the Biden administration. He questioned the rationale behind funding certain projects, such as progressive modern art installations in Afghanistan, stating, “Why are we spending money on progressive, modern art projects centered around toilets in Afghanistan? That’s actually something that your tax dollars were funding until very recently.”
He further reflected on past government spending, asking, “What the hell are we doing with the American people’s money for the last four years?” This rhetorical question aimed to resonate with taxpayers expressing frustration over fiscal responsibility.
Vance articulated a clear vision for America’s future. He expressed, “The fundamental goal of our immigration policy, our border policy, and DOGE’s mission to save taxpayer money is to ensure that our children and grandchildren can raise families in security and comfort in the country we all love.” This statement encapsulates the broader objectives of Trump’s agenda.
Vance received an enthusiastic standing ovation after the CPAC organizer lauded his impactful Munich speech. In that address, he highlighted the need for Europe to emulate Trump’s strategies in controlling illegal immigration and fostering free speech.
“We cannot rebuild Western civilization; we cannot rebuild the United States of America or Europe by allowing millions of unvetted illegal migrants to enter our countries. It has to stop. Thank God it stopped here. But it must stop there also,” Vance asserted, underscoring the urgency of strict immigration policies.
Vance continued to expound on the detrimental effects of the Biden administration on free speech, stating that it did more damage than any past American administration, not only in the United States but also in Europe. He refrained from placing blame solely on European leaders, instead emphasizing that they followed Biden’s lead into censorship and mass migration.
His call to action was clear: “Follow the lead of Donald J. Trump and prioritize free speech, borders, and sovereignty. This is the future for our shared civilization.” Vance’s remarks encapsulated the core themes of the Trump’s administration’s political agenda.
