A young baseball player is gaining significant attention after receiving support from Major League professionals. Marco Rocco, a 12-year-old member of Haddonfield Little League in New Jersey, faced suspension from a state tournament due to a bat flip celebration following a home run during a game.
This incident, which occurred on July 16, escalated into a legal matter when Marco’s family sought an emergency temporary restraining order. They aimed to allow him to participate in the upcoming state tournament set to commence on Thursday.
Fortunately for Marco, a judge sided with his family, ultimately permitting him to play in the tournament.

The suspension ignited discussions across the Major League Baseball community. Notably, New York Yankees star Jazz Chisholm Jr. voiced his disapproval of the disciplinary action, labeling it absurd. He stated, “I thought that was ridiculous. You’re going to suspend a kid for having fun? Crazy.”

We expect all players, coaches, volunteers, and staff to uphold these values at all times.”
Marco’s Tournament Journey
Following the legal victory, Marco took the field against Elmora Little League in the first game of a four-team, double-elimination tournament on Thursday night. Unfortunately, his team lost 10-0, and Marco’s performance was less than stellar, finishing the game with no hits in two at-bats.
Despite the tough loss, Marco is set to compete again on Saturday night, hoping to turn the tide in future games.
