Boulder Terror Suspect Targeted Victims with Israeli Flags, FBI Testimony Unveils

In a gripping preliminary hearing held on Wednesday afternoon, federal authorities revealed critical details about Mohamed Sabry Soliman, the suspect in the Boulder, Colorado Molotov bomb attack. Testimony indicated that Soliman, an illegal Egyptian national, reportedly used Israeli flags to identify and target his victims. A notable symbol, “1187,” pertaining to the Muslim liberation of Jerusalem, was found inscribed on items within his vehicle.

Now 45 years old, Soliman faces a plethora of charges, including multiple counts of attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault, possession of incendiary devices, and over a dozen counts related to the attempted use of incendiary devices. These allegations stem from a violent incident on June 1 when the attack left twelve individuals injured.

Additionally, Soliman is confronting federal charges linked to a alleged hate crime motivated by the actual or perceived race, religion, or national origin of his victims.

Evidence of Targeted Violence

During the hearing in a federal courtroom in Denver, government attorney Melissa Hindman argued convincingly for the existence of evidence supporting the hate crime charge. The primary focus was on the targeting based on national origin.

Hindman stated that Soliman expressed extreme animosity, explaining how he perceives Zionism and those he associates with it. ‘
